Springtime love from PPAC!

The Pagan, Polytheist, & Animist Collective is a student-led faith organization established in Spring 2023. Our purpose is to cultivate a community for earth-based spirituality at MHC. "Earth-based spirituality" is a broad and vague term that encompasses any and all religions that celebrate the natural world and all the blessings it gives us.

Upcoming Events:

Ostara - What is it?

Nature’s reemergence, hints of warmer weather, and cool rain showers are creeping ever closer, which can only mean one thing: Ostara is on the horizon! Marking the first day of the Spring Equinox--March 21st--Ostara is the time of the year when light begins to emerge again. The name of Ostara originates from “Ēostre”, a Germanic spring goddess.

Ostara is the midpoint between Imbolc, the midwinter, and Beltane, the start of summer. It is a time for planting seeds, cleansing, and celebrating the forthcoming warmth after a harsh winter. Ostara corresponds with birth and fertility, as well as springtime associations such as eggs, flowers, and rabbits. Light is on the rise, and it should be celebrated! Take some time to clean your home space, altar, or personal belongings. Refresh your wards and intentions, and perhaps take a walk through your local land; perhaps you’ll spot something preparing to bloom!
